Mrotek Pit – Hwy 77 (Monarch)

Startup of the asphalt plan in  the Mrotek Pit will begin around the last week of April to the first week of May. Maintenance has begun on the asphalt plant to prepare for the 2021 construction season. The estimated workload out of the plant this year is expected to be similar to last year: on and off as needed to supply asphalt for various projects in the area.

The permitted hours of operations for the asphalt plant are 6:00AM to 9:00PM Monday through Saturday with maintenance allowed one hour before and one hour after.

Milestone Materials was just notified that Antczak will be crushing for Dale Mrotek in the Mrotek Pit starting 4/12 and be in the pit crushing for 2 weeks. After Antczak is finished crushing for Dale, they will begin crushing for Milestone Materials. Weather permitting, Antczak gave Milestone Materials an anticipated start date of April 26th.  Milestone Materials plans on crushing in the Mrotek Pit for an estimated 5 weeks.

Our permitted hours of operation for the crusher are 7:00AM to 9:00PM Monday through Saturday, however we agreed with the Round Lake Town Board in October of 2018 that we would limit our crushing hours at Mrotek from 7:00AM to 7:00PM Monday through Saturday, with the option to extend the crushing until 9:00PM if there was a special situation such as weather or project requirement. At this time, we do not anticipate any weather or project requirements, so we are planning 7:00AM to 7:00PM, Monday through Saturday. If a weather or project requirement comes up and we have to extend the crushing until 9:00PM, updated notice will be posted
