Temporary Culvert Work and Road Closures
The Sawyer County Highway Department will perform culvert work during the week of September 28 through October 2, 2026.
Moose Lake Road
The culvert on Moose Lake Road near Fullington Road will be replaced. The work is expected to take two days. Moose Lake Road will be closed at the project site during daytime work hours. Travelers going to Hayward must use an alternate route.
Alternate routes:
- East of the project: Use NF 320 to Highway 77, NF 319 to County Road B, or County Highway S to Highway 77 or County Road B.
- West of the project: Use Highway 77, County Road B, NF 319, or NF 320.
Tiger Cat Dam Road
After the Moose Lake Road project is completed, crews will work on the culvert on Tiger Cat Dam Road. This project is expected to take one day.
Residents whose properties are beyond the Tiger Cat Dam Road project should plan to leave before work begins that day.
Please plan ahead and follow all posted road-closure signs.
Town of Round Lake Volunteer Fire Department Volunteers Needed
The Town of Round Lake Volunteer Fire Department is seeking additional volunteers to help serve and protect the community. The Department is looking for individuals interested in becoming:
- Volunteer Firefighters
- Fire Inspectors
No prior firefighting experience is required. Required training, classes, and certifications are paid for by the Town. Compensation is available for emergency calls/runs, training attended, inspections completed, and certain department activities. Click here for notice.
