Moose Lake Festival
Mark your calendars for the annual Town of Round Lake Fire Department Picnic at the Moose Lake Festival on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Louie’s Landing on Moose Lake. Entertainment features – pie auction, white elephant sale, wheel of fortune, door prizes, raffles, raffles, and more raffles. There are plenty of craft projects and games to keep the kids busy all day.
Proceeds of the cash raffle tickets go directly and only to the Town of Round Lake Volunteer Fire Department. Remember that all Firefighters, EMTs, and First Responders volunteers are serving our community. Attending the Moose Lake Festival and purchasing the cash raffle tickets are terrific ways for you to show your support of their efforts. Because of the terrific group of Town of Round Lake EMTs, First Responders, Fire Department Personnel, and this ambulance, emergency response time in our area has been dramatically reduced.
Everyone is encouraged to bring a donation of a special pie or cake to the Festival. The Pie Auction is the “main event” at the Festival, just as it was at the Fire Department Picnics, thanks to the wonderful cooks in our area, and is our biggest money maker. Another popular feature of the Festival are the many raffles going on all day, especially for items made by our local talented crafters, so if you have an item you have made and would like to donate, please contact Marilyn Karns at 462-9445 or email@example.com
We will once again be collecting donations for the White Elephant (Rummage) sale. You can bring your treasures to the recycling center on County Road A every Saturday from 8:00 AM to Noon and on Wednesdays, 8:00 AM to Noon, beginning after Memorial Day. The following items will not be accepted: tires, upholstered furniture, mattresses, large appliances (stoves, refrigerators, washers, dryers, and freezers), TVs, computers, computer peripherals, small appliances that don’t work, clothing, and Styrofoam coolers. We are looking for good quality items that have a resale value. In other words, no junk. If you have any questions, please contact Lou Grayson at 462-9538.
